特朗普:希望提名帕特爾出掌聯邦調查局 X

<匯港通訊>  美國當選總統特朗普表示,希望提名帕特爾出任聯邦調查局(FBI)局長,表明他有意趕走現任局長克里斯托弗雷。

帕特爾是特朗普的忠實支持者,他在特朗普第一個任期內擔任國家情報局副局長和國家安全委員會反恐事務高級主任。他曾經呼籲剝奪聯邦調查局的情報收集職能,並清除局內拒絕支持特朗普政策的人員。

現任局長克里斯托弗雷2017年,由特朗普任命,克里斯托弗雷任內,曾經下令聯邦調查局搜查特朗普在佛羅里達州的海湖莊園,尋找機密文件。

根據法例局長任期是10年,克里斯托弗雷理論上到2027年才任滿。消息人士透露,克里斯托弗雷曾經表示,無意提前離任。 (BC)
