Walgreens 為 VillageMD 撥備58億美元 X

<匯港通訊>  美國及英國大型藥房集團 Walgreens Boots Alliance 公布,為郊區醫務所集團VillageMD 的投資作出58億美元撥備,集團在截至2月29日止第二財季錄得淨虧損59億美元;期內每股經調整盈利報1.2美元,優於市場預期的0.82美元。

Walgreens 前任行政總裁 Rosalind Brewer 在位期間,向 VillageMD 項目投放約60億美元資金,當中包括收購急救集團 Summit Health,成為其控權股東。不過,Summit Health 至今仍處於燒錢狀態。Walgreens 現任行政總裁 Timothy Wentworth 上任後改變策略,全力推動節省開支措施。

同時,因應零售業務面對嚴峻挑戰,Walgreens 修訂截至8月底止年度每股盈利預測,由3.2-3.5美元區間,調整為3.2-3.35美元。 (BC)
